Everest

This has been the deadliest climbing season on Everest EVER. 13 climbers have lost their lives and four others are unaccounted for. This crap has to stop.Nepal and Tibet/China need to figure out how to shut this mountain down. 1200 people attempted to assent. 1200!

Traffic is a real problem. People have to wait in line to make the last push for the summit, thus increasing their time spent in the death zone.

They need to set limits on the number of people allowed on the mountain.

EDIT: after reading, apparently traffic isn't the issue this season. It's the climate/sudden weather changes

My daughter was friends with the youngest person to ever climb Everest at age 13.

That girl could have easily died. I would not consider that an accomplishment. It was foolhardy. Horrible parentage.

This season three Sherpa were burned alive carrying supplies and rope for those privileged enough to pay for it. Used to be you had to qualify via an 8000 mtr climb. Now, anyone with a pulse and money can be literally be carried up the mountain.

They shouldn't let anyone out of their house. That way no one will ever get run over..

People do what they do. As long as they don't put anyone else in jeopardy against their will, who are you to say what they should or shouldn't do? Life is full of risks and some people want to push it to the limit.

I agree, it brings tourism, and the Sherpas who are guides make good money.
If they want to risk their ass selling their skills to make 10x+ an hour over prevailing wages more power to them.

The dead are only risking their own ass, most people just step around them, they are left there.
