I didn't see what happened. Chart calls it a 'stewards scratch'.

Did he break through gate, or run off during warmups??


I agree, he was a sucker horse. His scratch really killed the value in that race.

Jockey went to the stewards about 4 min to post.

Was listening to weekend call in show on hrrn caller mentioned that arroyo and maragh are a combined 3 for 145 on turf races this meet.

nothing fancy here, no real strong opinions or great toss-outs

went 'Chad Brown' in the 8th, and didn't use Dilger's top-3 public choice #7 at all.

didn't use Gargan's 3rd-choice morning line #6 at all in the 7th.

May have made Casse's 1 in the 6th a 'B' on a larger investment ticket, but for $100, not really worth saving a few bucks in Crists 'need 2 'A' winners' structure.

Tough for me to read this sequence. The door is open for chaos, but it could be relatively chalky as well.

i have no clue what happened (and I didn't even see it occur), but could have been a case of KMac realizing that Takaful probably wouldn't get the lead vs sprint speed 1st off.
That said, hopefully the horse is OK in terms of health.

Agree, the horses health is the priority. If they run the race and something happens, it's bad. Keeping the horse and jockey safe is the right thing to do.

As far as the first leg goes, we only agree on 1 horse.
