I can't stand Bill Kristol but depending on the severity of the pounding the GOP receives this cycle...

I'd rate open civil war at around 50% right now.

It is a legitimate question of will the knives come out if the midterms go badly?

The thing is who is well known enough to take on Trump ?.Reagan and Ted Kennedy couldn't upend a sitting president so unless someone like Jeb Bush (what the world needs now :sleeping:) wants to take a shot , I don't see it happening.

It’s normal for the oppo party to do well in the mid terms. It’s just the way things have shaken out for decades. Blaming Trump excessively won’t get Kristol anywhere he wants to go. He’s been anti Trump from the start. He’s easy to ignore

I'm not pretending he will be successfully primaried but the GOP could resort to infighting.

More that there are already wings of the party that oppose him. Some vocal. Some not.

A lot of Republicans think he's economically illiterate. There are threads to dedicated to that here.

Evangelicals could turn on him if his record doesn't improve.

Border security could turn on him since he hasn't accomplished anything there.

My uncle could become my aunt, too.

Nice of you to keep up with the turd wrestling that goes on in almost every administration. The rest of us... Well, we are enjoying the great economic resurgence of the trump era. You know, the important stuff.

You and hcap etc can continue to keep your ears to the ground for things like news on strippers... and disgruntled peripheral GOP has beens ..and what his wife wears on Air Force one.... Most of us are digging the tax breaks for the middle class and a great economic turnaround.
