Our inability and/or complete unwillingness to react to the Russian "coming out party" could well end up being our biggest failure of the young century... and we've already had some pretty fantastical blunders.

We need international mandate before we head in there...

Our track record among Latin American countries isn't the best on the block. So far we haven't really done anything wrong but we need to be leaning on the OAS and/or UN to formulate a mandate for international involvement... humanitarian at first obviously.

Luckily this Administration is great a playing nice with allies and international bodies. :rolleyes:

We don't need anybody's permission but American adventurism in the Western Hemisphere has been... um... problematic in years past.

Going in with coalitions lends some credibility to what you are doing.
