Good race, going to take the older horses to beat the filly.

I didn't like the other filly all that much - TF figs had her too slow to beat the top one's best races. So I though good spot to take a closer who looked like she might be ready to improve.

That idea and New Coke.....meh!

I think being by Midnight Lute that she is a one turn sprinter, I would like to see her turn back in the Test.

I love horses turning back to race in reality instead of their owner's dreams.
Male and female. I'm especially strict on horses going 9 at any NYRA track.
I want to be 100% sure the horse can get two turns.

Funny how so many races today are coming down to Tom Ainslie's first rule of handicapping - can the horse get the distance.

to be fair though, she would have won that race yesterday if it were not a exceptional filly that beat her. I would also say if she is going to ever beat her she would need some pace, something there just is not a lot of it seems east of California.
