What Wins in the Winter?

I've just put up a new video seminar.

The regular price is $77.

It is currently available in a DSO sale.
(That means Dave's Special Offer.)

At 5:30pm pacific time, this product will begin at $24.77. Every sale or two will result in a small price increase.

Hi Dave.

Is this about winter racing in cold climates like Aqueduct or Laurel, or racing at the tracks that run their season in the winter like Tampa and Turf Paradise?

Thanks.

All racing is included.

It is simply about how different racing is based upon the calendar, not the weather.

Only fast tracks are considered.

The differences are really quite amazing.

Here's the 20-minute promo video which describes it.

Inside that video you will see a couple of examples.

Have you broken this down to see if there are significant differences between warm weather winter tracks (Turf Paradise, Tampa, etc.) and cold weather tracks (Aqu, Laurel, etc.).

No. That would be about two scopes deeper this project.

However, it is my approach to handicapping.

(i.e. "Get races like this one" and one of the components of that is winter vs non-winter)

Then you will have to deal with the confounding variable of weather. Otherwise you don't know if the difference is due to the calendar or temperature.
That will require an additional study.

Dave always delivers factors that work.

You guys have mentioned some good ideas about 'theory'. That's one of the great things about this game; there are undiscovered ideas.

Of course it will.

This is just the beginning, but for now, I can say that the #1 factor (for example) for predicting the winner in a maiden race in the winter is about 20 factors below in the summer.

That alone is worth the price of admission. It is a factor that has little value in summer. Not speed ratings or pace ratings.

Grandma was born on the 6th.

My mom and her twin were born on the 6th.

My niece was born on Jan 6 completing the superfecta.
