Where to buy old Past Performances?

I have Googled and searched but I am unable to find an online source for purchasing Past Performances from years past.

I'm specifically looking for:

Feb 28, 2015 for AQU

March 14, 15 and 18, 2015 for GP, OP and TAM

DRF, Brisnet or Equibase files preferred.

If anyone has old PPs for those tracks and dates (or knows where I can buy PP copies) please let me know or feel free to PM me.

Thanks

Unless something has changed since I bought them DRF has them, but are very pricey.

Thanks Tom, Bris states they have data files going back to July 15, 1999.

However, I must have signed up to Brisnet after their Legacy Accounts or something because it wouldn't allow me to sign into the Brisnet.com Archive File Server.

It states If you don’t have an account on our Legacy Brisnet site, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-354-9206 for assistance.

So I called and created a new account. Once approved, I'll be able to purchase PP Data (single) files to load into the BRIS Custom PP Generator.

I emailed DRF and here was their reply "Unfortunately, we no longer archive past editions or past performances of the Form."

One member here sent me a PM and was nice enough to send me JCapper files for the tracks and dates I wanted. But unfortunately I don't own JCapper software so I cant open the files.

I wonder when DRF stopped archiving them? It had to be at least 15 years ago, maybe more, I just bought some after a big win to stroll down memory lane. Looks like they still sell past performances of a single horse, looks like they cut the price and only go back 12 starts. Those were like $8 each for all starts, now they are $5 for 12.

Not sure why it's so awesome but I've read good reviews.

Just seems very expensive for the casual player. That includes the HDW data

You are trying to win/profit in the long-term, right?

Sure, I was as a regular track attendee back in the 90s. But in 1998 the Detroit Race Course closed for good.

Today it's a different game. Instead of walking up to the betting window, it's 100% online and I place bets through an ADW. Small fields and multiple scratches per race is more common. Favorites seem to win at a higher % and the payouts for vertical exotics are much lower, even when horses at double-digit odds are involved.

In order to justify the cost of JCapper software and a subscription to HDW I feel I'd need to be betting at least a hundred dollars a race. Honestly, I'm not at that level. I mostly play $20 to win and $5 exactas. I'm a casual player that enjoys the sport but by no means a pro.

How long did you lurk here before you started to post?

Running Amok 10-06-2023 10:23 PM

I reckon about a year or two, on and off. I read some interesting threads here and started playing the horses again during Covid, and decided to join.

May I know why you ask?

Obviously you know who CJ is and what he does....Same goes for Dave Schwartz and his programs. J-Capper is good as well.

Do you think maybe the questions that you pose have already been answered?

They have.

Well excuse me and please except my apologies if this has been asked before. But I did state in my original post that I Googled and searched but was unable to find a source for purchasing Past Performances from years past.

And BTW, I do not know who CJ is or what he does other than being a member here who posts in these forums.

I am familiar with Dave. He's answered a few of my questions and seems to know a lot about handicapping.

And I don't see what any of this (asking me how long I've lurked or who certain members are) has to do with my question about purchasing past performances, but thanks anyway for weighing in.
