Supplementary Nominations

In today's second race at Belmont (Clm 12500) there are three horses that are supplementary nominations. I've heard of supplementing into big races but a 12500 claimer. What does it mean? Good or bad?

Hey Beta, that was a tough beat on the Phat Man in race seven at Keeneland. Those are the kind of races that drive people crazy. You're right but not lucky. Anyways that was a good pick.
