You would think that Obamacare would have solved...

You would think that Obamacare would have solved the emergency room problem and brought down costs for everybody. It was one of the big selling points of the program. Clearly that was erroneous.

True, skill alone will not necessarily get you hired at a better than minimum wage. There must also be a demand for your skill. Most minimum wage workers have very few marketable skills.
