Last race watch list horses running tonight:
Race 5 Victory Machine (6-1) Had been going off at long odds but that changed when he picked up Purton here for his first try on this gelding for trainer John Moore, while drawing the 10 post with the short run to the turn going 6 furlongs at Sha Tin. Zach worked on him to get to the front as soon as the gates opened and fought for the lead with the 10 pound apprentice on Hard Promise, it did take him half the turn to get over towards the rail with Hard Promise bolting it. With 200 metres left he finally put Hard Promise away but as soon as that happened he was engaged by winner Red Desert who had a perfect trip sitting right off the pace two wide, he dug in and fought all the way to the wire only to lose by a head all the while holding off the big favourite Silver Fig by a half-length.

Race 8 Cordyceps (10-1)
Key Plays:
Race 1 Very Sweet Orange (9-5)
Race 4 Le Terroir (3-1)
