The DNC lawsuit is to keep the base believing that something must have happened in 2016. The Mueller case regarding Russian collusion led to 12 Russians and no Americans being charged. If anything, it showed Facebook greed allowed for the ample breeding ground for such an operation by the Russians. I don't believe you'll see anything else from his case regarding the Russians.
The problem with the DNC lawsuit is that it will now allow the Trump campaign and other defendants the ability to "discover" anything and everything about the DNC, like DWS' Pakistani IT guy, Hillary's server, the screwing of Bernie by the DNC, etc, etc. There's a whole lotta bad stuff being done by that bunch. I'm sure campaign finance fraud is the least of it.
