Shocking news from the Washington Post.
After the school shooting in his state, Sen. Mario Rubio was asked about new gun legislation. His response was that no proposed legislation currently being discussed would have prevented that shooting, or any of the other mass shootings in the past years.

The Washington Post went back to the Newtown shooting in 2012 and chose 12 mass shootings to analyze. Fact-checkers concluded that none of the shootings would have been avoided by passing new laws currently under discussion.
