Speaking only for myself, this isn't about Kavanaugh. This is about the legal process for a president to nominate a judge and the Senate to confirm him. The Dems can't get their tiny little brains around the fact that they lost the election. Or to be more precise, Hillary lost it. And they can't stop this appointment using the legal process. So they are trying to lynch Kavanaugh, without evidence of guilt.

And for the Dems, it's not about Kavanaugh either. They no doubt would have tried to do the same with Gorsuch, but couldn't even come up with charges as shaky as those against Kavanaugh.

Some say approval of Kavanaugh would hurt the GOP with women voters in November. I doubt it. I think failure to confirm him would hurt the GOP with many voters. They would not vote Dem, they just would not vote, out of disgust with the GOP and the process.
