The end of an era. When Stein started, there wasn't a lot of venues for serious discussion of horse racing in Southern California. (There were other shows, e.g., Bill Garr's, but they were much more personality-driven and softball. Stein discussed real issues and was hard-hitting.)
I can't say I was a frequent listener, but I listened occcasionally and the show was really good. I got to know Aaron Hesz a fair amount back in the days of AOL-- he's a fun and outspoken character (which made for great radio, whether or not you agreed with him). (And he hated Vic Stauffer long before the owners of this site did.
