Obama had two chances to nominate him and he picked Sonya and Eleana, both lacking in judicial prowess, ahead of him.
No, Garland was a dupe, while not of his doing. Obama nominated him solely to play his usual game of putting Party above country. McConnell played the game and his hand too, and Mitch won!
The GOP did the right thing slapping down Obama ... and now, the
Democrats cannot stop Kavanaugh today. And this is why they are going nuts because this is the closest they could have gotten in extracting any sort of revenge and stopping a Trump nominee.
Plus, after November 2018's election and the next two elections after that, Trump's GOP will will gain many more seats in the Senate and House which means Trump could nominate the next 2-3 conservative judges to the Supreme Court before all is said and done.
