I say I don’t know what your point is. If the protesters had guns, then.. what?

They would’ve been shot dead.

Yes, yes. 'tis a far better thing to be alive and and a severely oppressed, politically enslaved people.

Why don't you move over there and educate those stupid protestors and tell them just how good they have it?

How willing would Americans be to gun down military and law enforcement? Because they won't be sending out DMV clerks and school bus drivers to opress the masses.

The question is how many military and law enforcement are going to fire on innocent citizens that won't surrender their second amendment rights.

You assume that the military would take out American Citizens. Military units have these discussions often. Not always on the record either. There are some parts of the military that are pledged to never turn their weapons on American Citizens. Some use the caveat that they will not do it on American Soil. Either way.......... don't assume anything.

You assume Law Enforcement would not make their own judgement. Here in Texas, I guarantee Law Enforcement would make their own judgments. Btw, Law enforcement would be severely outnumbered if they turned on the people of Texas.

If the thread's title were "Black Lives Matter protests...a solid reminder about the Second Amendment" or "Antifa protests...a solid reminder about the Second Amendment" are people going to have the same reaction?

As the saying goes "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter".

Depends,as usual, as to whose ox is being gored.

Well, if you have trouble differentiating those two groups and REAL Americans, you might be the one we need the guns to protect ourselves from.

I see them as two main reason why we NEED guns.

Define "real American".

Sure it does. You brought up TX cops using their own judgement on whether to shoot at civilians, and I shared a recent example of exactly that.

Why did the Texas cops shoot at civilians?
