Comment says "bumped at the start" 3W into turn. No menace.
So I first watched the pan shot replay.
The horse appeared rank and difficult to handle.
She was throwing her head a bit. Looked uncomfortable.
The head on replay showed that the horse was pinballed out of the gate. Once steadied, kept trying to get in. The rider kept looking over his left shoulder to see if he could get a path to the inside. None were had.
Midway up the back stretch the horse did take a bad step. But that was insignificant.
By the time they reached the 3/16ths pole, the horse was done.

Bad trip? Dunno. A horse not on its game? Id have to say yes to that.
Rider error? Who knows.

I like the idea of this thread...but tell me...what ought to be some of the parameters for horses to appear here....I wish that PA had an app that flagged when horses listed in this ....watch stable....were entered to race...

We can list a horse but who knows when it runs next time?
