Wasn't fishing, just stating. He is the best 2-year old Baffert has.

A Tapit with 34 dosage points and Cherokee Rose in tail female. Could certainly be a good distance horse based on the pedigree.

I believe he is going to race Saturday in race 1 at DelMar. This is a 7F race for 2-year old maidens. We shall see...……………………….

Dosage has pretty much been discredited and Cherokee Rose doesn't even appear through 5 generations back. It's genetic influence would by no more than 1 tenth of 1 %. at most Only good thing I see is sired by Tapit, but so are plenty of other horses. How fast is it working? That would be a good sign in a debut, especially a Baffert horse. Even then it would still have to show something in actual races like Game Winner., his current 2YO "monster"

Jocko, weren't you the one to tip us off to Justify after his first race last year? Coliseum 25-1 right now on Bovada. Worth a $10 bet...definitely made worse gambles haha.

Now we're talking. With those works. 25-1 is incredible. Depending on who else is in the race, he'd be a steal at 2-1.

I think the 25-1 is for the Derby.

I thought that might be it. 25-1 for a Baffert with those works would be crazy.
Will probably be favored today.
I'll watch the race with interest.

Any first time starter deserves triple digit futures odds for the KY Derby.
Baffert, however, is the exception to that rule.
Any horse of his that has a big reputation pre-debut is worth a look.
25-1 is way too skinny to bet, though.

I'd be surprised if Coliseum raced tomorrow. I've seen a few of the horse's works. He's headstrong and hard to manage, and Baffert has mentioned that in the past week.
Baffert entered Coliseum at SA on October 8th, with Talomo listed, and he also entered Metropol in the same race, with Van Dyke aboard. Coliseum was scratched, and Metropol won at 3/5.
Tomorrow Coliseum is entered with Talomo aboard again, and the other Baffert first starter, Figure Eight, is also entered with Van Dyke aboard. Figure Eight has a lot of good worksouts. Coliseum will probably be scrtached again. Even if so, Figure Eight is no guarantee to win. Light of the World and Railman both have good chances.
Whenever Coliseum does race, he will probably win. But that might be until next year.
