Well, racing's been a sham for quite a while now, but we each have our breaking point.

Sadly, I suspect that handle may be up due to the extra news coverage brought about by Salve-Gate - or, "The Ointment Scandal". What a mess.

It just seems silly to me.

Probably because I believe 90%+ of them won't refrain.

I hope you were compensated well for that post.

I never said that. I find betting the Preakness itself may be dicey but I love the under cards on those days.

My point is if the Phipps don’t enter anything and the media will be squawking for half the day or more any way. Then one of them (other prominent horse people) gets talking in public, like they already are. People are getting close to the breaking point now, where flack may fly. You got a bigger problem when people like that start bitching. Bettors for the most part don’t stop. They know that. How do people think they get away with half this crap? I think there is a growing number of powerful people that have had enough.

They’ll have a good day most likely. But it’s not gonna break any records unless the whales cut loose. The casual has been talking “cheating “ all week. The response was right on the the other poster. Record breaking ? Who paid you to say that? I’m picturing the old guy sitting there..... “ain’t betting that, they’re cheating.” This one on derby day...... is gonna ruffle a lot of feathers. People just don’t get that a violation just looks bad ..... 5 like this, I gotta watch just see what they say on tv even if I don’t bet that race .

Actually, bettors HAVE stopped.

A lot of them...compared to decades ago.

THANKFULLY, we've had the WHALES step in to offset much if not all of that lost handle.

When the computer teams go, then you'll be shocked. Better make sure they stick around.

Yup....industry propped up by slots and computer betting teams...both of which are probably not going to be around much longer.

Black-Eyed Susan Day

Black-Eyed Susan Day at Pimlico Race Course produced a record total handle of $27.675 million. Friday's record handled eclipsed the previous record set in 2019 of $21.349 million. Attendance Friday on the day was capped at 10,000.

One day down and one to go.

I withheld my $30 contribution to their handle by refusing to bet the Preakness. Looks like I showed them who’s boss!

See, no such thing as bad press.

I also dont see what this beta bullshit is going to do to the bettors that make up little to do with the pool

let me know when something happens that affects the CRW teams and then it will be an issue the industry addresses. thats the customer they care about.

Sadly, I feel this comment is dead-on accurate.

Now you're 100% of the way there. Once again...I hope you were compensated well for your posts.

Has it ever occurred to you there are other ways to see...and find...a "good opportunity" than yours? All of your rah-rah talk about the two days of racing at that dilapidated Shithole isn't changing that.
