ESPN is just hot garbage. It was not always that way. It wasn't until they became political.
Unfortunately, if one is a sports fan, they will have to put up with a certain amount of ESPN.

Speaking for myself...I've learned to tune out the politics. But their shows run like endless comedy routines by humourless guys. Give me the highlights...and spare me the nonsense.

Yes it is unfortunate, especially when college football rolls around in a month or so. That and for college basketball is the only use I have for their channels.

I think we can all agree that the Mike & Mike show, on for 18 years, had run its course. I haven't watched a second of Golic & Wingo, because of junior.
Sports Center is obsolete because you can get scores and sports news whenever you want(just type in google, "Phillies scores").
I like Greenberg though and I wish they would have figured out a better situation for him.

It only took a few posts until the liberal/conservative mouth breathers mucked up the thread...…. . Mike and Mike was a pretty good show, they had the chemistry and the comedy, along with the leading sports stories.
Get up, is awful. Golic and Wingo is a little better but not much.
What's the old adage? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. They should of tried that. Both current shows put together, don't equal Mike and Mike.
Yeah, that's what's wrong with the country....those damned liberals...…...or is it the conservatives? Of course, its both, but that's something people cant figure out.....

I liked Mike and Mike and was bummed it ended but it had run its course.
Get Up is just unwatchable. Golic and Wingo not much better and Gus is right in that junior is insufferable.
I liked Russillos show a lot and Dan and Stu Gotz are entertaining.

Supposedly LeBatard's political spewing was over the top even for ESPN
and he was told to tone it down. I won't listen to him at all anymore.

Apparently,it's cheaper to talk about sports than to pay the rights fees to actually, y'know, SHOW the sports.ESPN is just a non-stop yak fest now.

I guess it is the cycle of life, you are born needing help feeding yourself, bathing and using the bathroom and if you live a very long life you could need that help toward the end of it. I remember when I was first married and I was having trouble sleeping, I got up at 2am, 3 hours early and turned on ESPN circa 1987. They were slowing grown men sitting in the dirt playing marbles. So hopefully this means ESPN is nearing the end of it's life.

Reminds me of the early days of ESPN. Alternating between kick boxing and Australian Rules Football and lots of billiards.

Oh what could have been if horse racing and ESPN had made a deal way back in the day...weekday afternoons are hard to fill. Racing could have been it

I used to watch just to see the referees in the white hats and coats signal scores. I would laugh my ass off every time.

Why would racing try to gain more fans when casinos were the answer?
