Top Connor had a nightmare trip from hell. He had trouble at the start, was rushed into the race early and then was hung very wide around the turn. Given the trip, I think he actually ran well.
Seize the Grey (winner) came out of the Bluegrass.
I'm not sure that proved anything about the Bluegrass race flow, but I think the overall race looks solid.
I'm playing Sierra Leone and Catching Freedom to Win and using them the most on top. I also used Just a Touch, Forever Young and Honor Marie in exotics. I threw a few dollars to win on Domestic Product as a sanity bet even though I'm not sure how good he is.
The one small negative for me is that I'm heavily weighted towards closers and the track seems a bit tilted towards horses that are racing on or near the lead. But sometimes the long routes play differently. If Fierceness wins I lose. Won't be the first time.

Ky Derby
On one of my two betting days a year now, we'll see how it goes.
.
, ,
Arrived at these using a completely mechanical technique learned from the great Dick Schmidt, via the Sartin group, which has been doing well for me in this race for the last few years. Re the tiers: appears to be about 3 lengths ahead of the second tier horses, and those two appear to be about 2 lengths ahead of the third tier. If the shows any ability to rate, believe he should win this easily.
Best of luck to all.

Look at your chart. What's unique about Seize the Grey's flow?

Not bothering with exotics….doing minimal wagers this year.
Show bets on Endlessly, West Saratoga, and Stronghold.
WPS on Forever Young, Sierra Leone, and Just Steel.

Thanks bisket! Reverse the 3rd and 4th and I had the tri. The WPS and extra win $ I had on Dan helped.
Congrats to you as well

I didn’t notice anything especially unusual other than IF you thought the flow favored the front, he was disadvantaged by being taken far back early and a bit wide. I didn’t see enough evidence in his record to think he was as good as he ran yesterday but you could make a case that he might be better than he looked off the BG.
If you saw something else specific in the flow or trouble, I’d be happy to know.
