Scratched horse Australian Racing.

Just alittle bit ago was playing a pick 4
At
AUSTRALIA B-SALE
RACE 5
2,4,9/1,3,7/2,9,11/7,13

I hit the 4-7-11 and on the 4th race the 13 horse got scratched.. and the winner of that race was number 2.. So i thought well i should get what ever horse comes in first which was the number 2 horse and it paid $155.00! I never even got my money back due to the 13 being scratched. Kinda new on Pick 4 rules in Australia. Does that seem right? Do i have a argument, or is that the way those pick 4's are played. Because in the first race the 6 got scratched and you could have had the 4 and the 6 in the first leg.. Just curious to find out the rules alittle better..

Thanks,
Nick

You got the post time fav as replacement, think it was the 1. it's a standard rule. If you had the eventual PT fav on your ticket already, it just means you had him twice. The reason why the first leg is 4,6 is because the winner was the fav.

Ahhhh okay. I was just confused by that whole ordeal! Thanks for clarifying that up. Makes sense you get the post race fav as a replacement!
