Interview with Danny Holmes

I was rereading some closed threads from July of 2007 about an interview

with the late Danny Holmes. The thread turned into a shouting match

between befuddlem greyfox and others. It seems the interview was live

and there were some problems with lag time but if I read the thread correctly

someone actually has a transcript of the interview and it seemed like it

had some useful information in it. Is this transcript available? I used to

converse with Danny via email and he was always a gentleman I would

really be interested in that entire interview sans the childish namecalling

which entered the thread. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

After reading that interview I wonder if Danny would still use the

Talbot Pace Slide Rule with the synthetic surfaces for sprints?

The game changes so much its a shame when you lose someone who

'caps' along the same line as you

I lived in the same town with Danny. I spent some time with him. Not a lot but a couple of days at the off track betting parlor in Santa Rosa. He was such a gentleman and all around genuine person.

I enjoyed the short time we spent together. Always sad when a horse race afficianado passes away. Maybe he is getting to watch Seabiscut run in Heaven.

You are welcome! Looking back now, I am glad I did that. Forgot all about it, but being the packrat that I am.......

was looking thru my "stuff" yesterday....found my old Taulbot Pace Calculator.....was wondering if anyone had a copy of the instructions laying around they could either copy off to me or scan and email.....??
Thanks in advance to anyone who could assist me!

Hey Donnie,

Thanks for posting the PDF--appreciate it. Bought the book but misplaced it or loaned it out.

Danny use to post here. Does anyone remember his user name? I recall answering one of his posts not knowing it was Danny and we use to correspond but I can't remember the name he used. Great guy. He passed about 2 yrs ago.
