Wrexham AFC
Just earned their second consecutive promotion up to League One (the third tier of English football).
Owned by Hollywood types Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, they have grown in population around the world due to the Welcome To Wrexham TV show (on FX) that has chronicled the Welsh teams journey since the new guys took over as owners.
Club has been in existence since 1864, which makes them the 3rd oldest club in the world.
Their home field is known as The Racecourse Ground and was originally (you guessed it) a horse racing venue long long ago.
Neat story.
