I went through the 2017 eclipse. Lasted 3 minutes. It only gets twilight for the 3 minutes. Otherwise just seems not as bright. Never gets dark.

It was spectacular to see but whatever. Certainly not worth the hype, etc.

There is another big asteroid coming our way. The military is getting ready for sending up something to break it up or change the trajectory. This also is a great time for our adversaries to cyber-attack our electrical grid.

We are supposed to live in more fear of a Solar Eclipse than we are MS13 and Venezuela gangs running afoot all over the place and 80% of the people that are illegally entering our country are military service aged males.

It is hard to even comprehend as to how anybody can still support this current Administration.

I'm about 150 miles from ground zero north of Austin. Here, it will still be nearly total, but not enough. Suppose to have storms anyway, besides, you'll know full well when it starts because it gets nearly dark if you're in the path. That's pretty cool, watch how the birds and wildlife react...its not time to be dark, wtf?

I was nearly in the center in 2017 and it didn't get close to dark. It was like a dark shadow passing overhead. A total eclipse is only 115 miles wide, so at all points on the horizon, it's bright. Only overhead is the shadow deep enough. Similar in many respects to a very dark thunderhead on top of you but light on the horizon.

It's neat to see but the darkness was the least impressive thing. Very underwhelming from that standpoint. I doubt birds and animals could tell the difference between a stormcloud and an eclipse. One zoo says they are preparing the animals for the eclipse. Those people need medication.

A lot depends on your location. Urban areas obviously won't encounter animals other than their own. Birds seem to react the most. The temperature drops.
Not sure what the 2017 eclipse was like, I was in Europe. My post was to remind that there's more to the event than the eclipse itself. The weather forecast for midday has improved somewhat.

The temp drop is the same to when a cloud passes in front of the sun. It goes back up immediately. I'm telling you the marvel of seeing an eclipse is spectacular, but none of the side effects are any different than a dark cloud passing overhead, and only for 3 minutes at most. No response from animals. Temp drop is extremely temporary. Doesn't get dark. It gets twilight similarly to a bad storm about to happen.

I agree,they are going to try and stop Trump at any cost! The Globalists,the far left Democrats, the Squad,Obama the puppet master do not want to loose the election. The Democrats want total control and want to pack the court. You can see what happens if you question a stolen election, you end up in jail! Ask all Trump Lawyers fighting indictments against them. Total setup, because 99% of Trump supporters are patriots, hard workers and peaceful,would never do that. There were some influencers mixed in the crowd and antagonizing people. There were also FBI and antifa mixed in the crowd as well. Once inside the Capital, they were very peaceful. They were walked around by capital police and still remain peaceful . And also,China and Mexico do not want Trump. They are making way too much money with him being out of the Office. We are totally screwed with that open border,over 50,000 military aged Chinese have crossed the border in the last four months. They are here for a reason. China wants to take Taiwan and they will not be able to do that with Trump in office! I agree that there’s something gonna happen to stop this election whether it’s bird flu or terrorist attacks by Chinese or others, Yes, it’s inevitable! This is the most important election of our lifetime for conservative Republicans non-conservatives. If they lose this election to the Democrats, we will become a socialist, Marxist country! No doubt in my mind,we are going in that direction now! America would be finished! You can see it! There’s no control in the open border right now and it’s costing us billions of taxpayer dollars!
