Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills

Bills appear to have made a good choice.

This guy Josh Allen is known as a 'measurables' guy. He's the right size, can throw the ball as far as anyone, and is a good athlete for QB.

Underneath all that I actually see a good ballplayer.

He's very raw right now.
Decides to run too soon into progressions.
Timing and touch, and relaxing in balance in the pocket are a bit elusive to him.
Firing off all these throws on the run or when he just lands into a throwing position. Great skill to have, but also times to be centered and relaxed, in control of the space.

Throwing motion is slightly unorthodox (3/4 arm motion), but that's fine.

He also missed some games mid-season last year with an elbow issue, which is scary. Seems to have fully recovered.

The Bills have a tough task in their division, and still finding a roster.

Seems like they brought in several new good football men in this off-season, in order to capitalize on landing Allen.

Maybe they have someone who actually understands football and weren't just lucky in trying to get a 'measurables' guy?

Flip a coin. He could develop into a pretty good QB. Already entertaining to watch.

Banned to Buffalo

That 'sieve' Offensive line is going to him plenty of plays to dance around.

He's got to learn to stay in the pocket.Running QB's (even one with his linebacker size) have a short shelf life. Guy's got a rocket arm, throws a great deep ball.

pretty good article

the main points =

Bills just hired a new quarterbacks coach "Ken Dorsey, who comes with high credibility, having successfully worked with Cam Newton in Carolina".

Bills just hired a new analytics guy "Dennis Lock from the Miami Dolphins as the club's Director of Research and Strategy"

Bills just hired a new receivers coach Guy's Name not mentioned in article.

and According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, not in hunt for Antonio Brown, but looking for WRs and OLINE

They may get better, or this could be a real mess!

At least Buffalo went to four SB's.Detroit Lions also 0-53 but have never even gone to a Super Bowl, the only one of the 26 teams that were part of the 1966 NFL-AFL merger. Most of the EXPANSION teams since then have appeared in the Big Game.
