race 2 - gotta take a small shot against the insane underlay  getting bet for his trainer. 2-back he failed his task hoping to stretch out on the pace but got Chad Browned. Last race he failed to even attend the pace as planned.
The obvious alternative is the .

The price I hope to get on my ticket is the  . This guy runs like a suck-up-for-third TURF horse. Tagg is doing fine this meet. This horse will enjoy sitting midpack in company and may pass tired rivals late.

Because she is cutting back in distance, you get a lot of contrarians popping up to be creative. Generally smart, but she looks like she should be 3/2 here.

Got offered 9/5 on a horse that should have been 3/2. Not eye-popping  value, but just enough value to pull the trigger.
Not investing real dough in trivial opinions in 5 horse fields, but putting a dollar and my train-of-thought on the nose of any opinions.

They are off , so it's moot. Probably should have keyed the under 2nd 3rd 4th, knowing that may collapse the race
EDIT/AFTER-THE-RACE = looked to develop like I suspected, but it did not collapse. The race kind of just flattened out deep stretch. could only manage 4th. Stronger did not fold as expected. I don't know if Ortiz just made a smart decision that he wasn't winning, so may as well hold it together, or the the simply took to the stretch better today. Trying to 'key' the under those guys wasn't worth it, paying only $28 for a dime.
