Sha Tin HKIR
Racing starts a little earlier tonight due to the pomp and ceremonies that will be performed between the Graded races. Post time is 11.25 et and 8.25 pt. Should be good night of racing and hopefully a profitable night too. Let the fun begin.

Not all that keen on the first, could probably make a case for at least 7 horses in there. They make these races a little tougher than a normal race day, owners want to run on the big day. Like the race #6 Lotus Strikes Back ran in his last going two turns at Sha Tin, but he hates to win. Just going to pay attention to the track.

Some things change and some things don't, Moreira winning the first. Pace and final time right on par with the class. If I was Hall the trainer of #2 Victory Boys would only run him at 1 800 events. Too bad he will gain points in the handicap and have to move up to Class 2 unless he can get a 85 Class 3 race.

Making a key play on Simply Brilliant, should benefit with a HK run even though it was at the valley. A smaller wager on the Winston's Lad, top last speed figure and coming out of a key race. Q's are with and .

That was a tough beat, took a little too long to get going on Simply Brilliant, may need to go further than 6 furlongs. Pace was on par and the final time was slow 2.3.

The chalk in here Nothingilikemore should be the winner, but his speed figures haven't been up to win at Class 1 yet. He was much the best in his last without ever being asked by Moreira, but I am going to make a small dutch play on a couple runners that have run fast enough to win at this level, Giant Treasure (9-1) and Southern Legend (23-1).

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, will take it though. Was screaming at the monitor down the stretch. Again pace and final time was right on par for the race, at the moment the variant is at +.6.

Have no idea in the 4th, with only 3 HK runners in here and I am totally ignorant to the rest of them to be totally honest.

Now that was very impressive, thought he was going to give it up at the top of the lane, started looking back to see who was going to close on him and looked back and he wasn't giving it up. Race's figure came back as a 117.9 fast 7.9, will go back over it a little closer, most likely will be guess on it eventually. May use a time from the 2 000 or 2 200 mark to make the final number.

Going to stick with Lucky Bubbles in here in the Sprint, he has had two horrible trips this year. Also, going to make a small win wager on D B Pin at 21-1.

Thought I had the chalk beat down the lane with the longshot D B Pin, but he never would get to his proper lead and just hung a little late. The winner Mr Stunning is pure class, Lucky Bubbles caught in on the rail with little room and still didn't have a proper kick late. Pace was quick and the final time was fast 3.8. The variant excluding the route race at the moment is: -.4

Unfortunately Twin Spires doesn't allow the Pick 3, hopefully they will soon.

They are POUNDING the first time starter in Hong Kong in Lockheed, usually they are pretty right on in those situations, it creates this as a chaos race to me. Got a big number on the Team Fortune (34-1) with a note that he refused to split in the stretch. Fortune Booth (10-1) had enough trouble cross the race out in his last. Wah May Baby (11-1) ran a number to this par on November 11th.
