Yes RIP Joseph Isadore Lieberman
The way he talked was always clear and concise unlike many establishment hacks.

Right.
Mensch (Yiddish: מענטש, mentsh, from Middle High German Mensch, from Old High German mennisco; akin to Old English human being, man) means "a person of integrity and honor". According to Leo Rosten, a mensch is "someone to admire and emulate, someone of noble character. A person of integrity, morality, dignity, with a sense of what is right and responsible.
It don’t get any classier than that.

Exactly my thoughts about a great human being, Joe Lieberman.

Independent, yet.......
The first Jewish American on the Presidential ticket.
Nowadays, the much of the Right call many liberals holocaust deniers.
There's something very wrong with this picture.
Lieberman was well aware of that, and prioritzed accordingly.
May he rest in peace.

There's a good reason why many liberals are called holocaust deniers...that's because they are:

Now that 69 years have passed since the liberation of Auschwitz, the danger is that an overuse of words — and inapt comparisons — will contribute to a lessening of the true impact and meaning of the Holocaust.
It must be our commitment to remember and to constantly speak out against those who would trivialize, distort or deny the Holocaust and to inoculate the public against trivialization through education.

Keep calling everyone Nazis...the above piece was written a decade ago...I wonder what they think now?
I guess since you're calling Trump and Republicans and Conservatives Nazis, it's ok.

Not all of them, but.....there's a common pattern here.
White supremacy - regarding other humans as inferior,
whether it's based on race, ethnicity, sexual identity, religion,
political ideology, womens' reproductive rights, and so on.
I'm not sure where Trump, as a person, really sides on these issues.
I suspect that he really isn't sure himself or, more likely, gives not a rat's.
What is apparent is that he has, over the years, become carried away
by a toxic mob opposed to liberal views. He plays that role with vigor.
Cons - the next time you say The Pledge of Allegiance think about it.
Do you really mean it? The part about "Liberty, and Justice, for all"
There are millions of people in this nation different from you in many ways.
The beauty of this country comes from those who embrace that fact.
Deal with it.

Again all of these things for those who come the legal way, was never intended as a promise to pick up the tab and deplete what is set aside for those we intend to welcome. It is people like you who have no compassion for the middle class who is being depleted of resources. Our commitment is to those who live outside our United States with our views and help to country's we can help.
