The result of the arbitration was that Geico would pay the woman $5 million. Geico is trying to appeal the decision, but apparently the courts are ruling that since Geico did not take part in the arbitration, it cannot appeal the results.
The woman claimed that Geico was guilty of “negligent infliction of emotional distress.”
