Can we talk some more about the Caps? Still on cloud 9!
By the way, next year's future bet is going on the Leafs.

I probably would have went with Kuzy personally, but any of the three were deserving. Pretty amazing to think Holtby was on the bench when the playoffs started.

I agree with Holtby as Conn Smythe winner. True he was on the bench when the playoffs started. The Caps as you well know lost their first two games. Also when he made THE save in the Finals the Golden Knights were never the same team. Regardless lots of candidates. As it should be when you win the Cup.

Really? The Leafs? Should be an interesting off season with a new and very young GM. Babcock makes a lot of money. Yet to win a series with the Leafs. If this happens next season and the Leafs go out in the first round. I think the young GM will fire Babcock.
But I hope you cash your future bet next year CJ. Like I said the other day i'm jealous. Congrats again.......

on twitter some one posted trotz resigns cause he want a # of year contract. he was on extensions now but the Caps didn't want to give him one.
i think if he didnt win the cup this year, he would have been fired.
but the guy wins a cup!!

Quinn Hughes will be the best player in this draft. He's the reincarnation of Paul Coffey.

Are the Leafs setting the stage for Matthews to be leaving next year?
Tavares took a lot of the cap space.

Leaving? Doubtful. There are rumors that the Islanders are pissed off and may present an offer sheet to Matthews or Marner next season. That could throw a wrench in the Leaf salary cap plans. We'll see.
I'm hoping the Leafs trade Kapanen, Sparks ( minor league goalie really good) and a pick to the Canes for one of their d-men. Canes need a goalie. Kapanen's dad played in Carolina a lot of years. It's rumored they like him. We still need help on the blue line. I want CJ to cash his future bet.
