I have a question that maybe one of you can answer on this.. If the entry runs one two and you are not getting double your $ for both horses, why does the 4 not also pay to place instead of just show? Probably a pretty basic answer. I have not come across this to much, so that is probably why I have not questioned that.

I'm trying to get some value in the track configuration, with how close the gate is to the turn.
Couple monkeywrenches = Sloppy Track, The 10 has gate speed, The Jocks are clueless(the inside riders probably will not realize the value of 'boxing-out' the 7,9,10 & let 10 walk to the early lead   )

good call on the 8.
note on the 2 and the 2's trainer Gary Capuano = any time this trainer stretches out, consider including. Whether he intentionally trains 'in-race' or it's just his style of training, he's got a pattern of horses running 'evenly' in sprints and then stretching out a bit at a good value.
