Feb 4 - Race 6

#3 Wicked Rose gets Hernandez back in the irons and I think he can get into the exacta third off the layoff if things break right for him at his favorite track. ML of 8-1 in a small field should hold up fairly well as he looks like a bit of an outsider vs this group.

$3 ex: 4-3
$2 ex: 1-2 w 3
$10 win: 3
($17 bet)

good luck y'all - I'm off to watch some parades on St. Charles Ave
An outsider he was. Straight to the back and stayed there

The #1 Mischiefs Machine has the look of an in-n-outer, and today says IN. Pace set up will be great. Saves ground, nails em late

$1 ex: 5-1
$12 win: 1
($16 bet)

Happy Mardi Gras !

Really like the #1 Jocasta here. Early wide move last time, opened up by about 3-4 lengths and got run down by a strong winner. Held 2nd and was over six lengths clear of the 3rd place finisher. Ground saving trip today after going wide on both turns last time. The same move wins this

$12 win: 1
($12 bet)

Good luck - really like the card today, may have some plays later in the card.
Taking a long look at #5 Unified Dreams in R7

Wow - looked like a total non effort ride by Geroux
Sat back off a fast pace, ranged up dangerously as they turned in, and Geroux did nothing. She may have lacked room, but he never switched her out (or even asked her, for that matter).
Frustrating

I guess I don't learn - giving Geroux another shot on the #5 Unified Dreams. Was caught 4w into the first turn while dueling two others in his last thru fast opening splits. Went wide on turn two and had nothing late. Hoping Geroux drops in and lets an expected hot & fast pace develop, and moves at them turning for home.

$3 ex: 8-5
$2 ex: 4,6 w 5
$9 win: 5
($16 bet)

That's better. Didn't go exactly as I thought, but he ran well after laying close to the pace.

Value play here on #1 Johny's Fireball for the winless Casse barn. Likes less than firm turf, draws inside today and projects to get a ground saving trip under Santana. Got pinched a bit at the start last time and put in a nice rally with a good gallop out. Like his long reaching stride. Solid worktab since and I'll take a shot at double digit odds

$2 ex: 2,10,11 w 1
$9 win: 1
($15 bet)

Race 14
#3 Honor Marie is my guy here at an expected decent price (could be 4th choice or lower on the board). Trying to beat the #11 who I think will get a serious look in the eye today when the real running begins. We'll see what he's got.

$3 ex: 7,8 w 3
$12 win: 3
($18 bet)

$33.00 total wagered today

Good luck

#9 Blissful is my guy for DeVaux/Hernandez. Ran on well behind a slow pace once he got out of a little traffic jam in the stretch. Should be all set second off the long layoff.

$12 win: 9

good luck

Taking a shot on #2 Brian's Iron Mike to get right at a price with the move back to turf after two bad races off the layoff. Torrid pace should set up his late run.

$1 tri: 1,3,6 w 2 w 1,3,6,8,9
$8 win: 2
($20 bet)

good luck

Sometimes you get lucky. They hammered my top choice from 12-1 down to the 2-1 favorite, a terrible price. Barely held 2nd

I think #9 Dapper Dude is better than he appears and will swang for it with this bomb, currently at 31-1 on the board.
Subtle improvement on turf with a nice late kick. Thrown to the wolves two back after an even race off the shelf.
