Another thing about this whole situation I find truly amazing is how did the Administration not see this problem coming by enforcing zero-tolerance.
What hacks work there?

I'm pretty sure they saw this coming but probably not to this extent. Tackling tough issues is something politicians like to delay or not address at all. DT doesn't seem to care about how things look. He seems to care about fixing something that's broken instead being paralyzed by all the hysteria.

Anytime we talk and you say "well what about" it means you don't have much on the topic at hand so you want to change the subject its very pervasive around here.
Clocker made great points in that there is legal precedent and justification for what is happening. I don't think hcap or highnote wish to argue that with him as he's right.
That has nothing to with democrats wanting immigrant votes, cartels, and whatever else you people are talking about.

Or just likes to pander to his base...
This could have been very easily avoided by someone who actually considered the ramifications of what they were doing.
This is shoot first aim later... there are many examples of this with the current administration.
You can even tell by the ever evolving position the Administration has taken on the issue they didn't think this through beforehand.

The ramifications of enforcing the law? Where was the outrage during the previous administrations who enforces some laws but not others? The whole point is for both sides to come up with a solution instead of grandstanding while getting nothing done.

Hacks who respect the Rule of Law and want to enforce it. You keep acting as though Trump is doing all this without the force of law behind him.

It is possible to have a problem with not enforcing laws and ALSO having a problem with the unintended side effects of enforcing them.
Everything is so black and white with Trump people its amazing...
Anyone who actually looked at the legal aspects of this could have seen this coming. Instead... nope we'll enforce a poorly thought out law and then when it blows up in our face we'll just blame democrats...
Great strategy.
Shoot first.
Aim later.

We will live with it.
Unlike the left, we respect laws, even when they are tough.
Too bad the left hates laws so much, they even refuse to sit down to negotiate passing better ones for their political gains.
Sick bunch of bastards have those little D's by their names.
This is not about the children at all - only idiots think it is.
Anyone concerned about the kids would be sitting down and working on legislation that would help it.
