Thanks for your interjection on my behalf but I won't be learning new about the scientific method from this gentleman.
Testing a horse racing system is not the same as performing a physics experiment.
I'm not writing for a peer-reviewed journal. I'm trying to see if a horse racing system has some merit.
Do I have to accept some constraints on my experimental design or, if one prefers, my testing procedure? OF COURSE!

He just stated an observation not relevant for a reasonable test of a horse racing system.
