Don't be so quick on the trigger.
Steve Scalise is not anywhere near being the Speaker. My bet is he's done if you ask me. Even if you don't ask me, he's still done. lol
He 'won' the vote over Jim Jordan, yes, but it means little since it was just a preliminary vote to sort out the true patriots or those uniparty America Last prostitutes, who sell out America for short change.
About 10-12 people voted for another person besides Steve and Jordan. Three votes for Scalise were from representatives of U.S. Territories who will not have a floor vote when the real voting begins. He really is going no where fast and you can go to the bank on this.
We will know in 2-3 days --or more-- who is with America and who is not.

At least he is an AMERCAN, not a TRAITOR like your guy.
On top of existing charges of corruption, Even FETTERMAN is calling for his ousting.

Once more this was a terrific post that was totally ignored. Not just here but even in more 'serious' venues.
There were a few of the usual silly and sniping posts between the usual suspects but what else is knew?
You're welcome.

It was spot on.
What are Jim Jordan's chances?

It's like you retained all your ideals you had in youth and refused to temper it with experiences. I guess its a beautiful thing, but the world isn't going to operate and never will operate on those ideals. The grim reality of the way people behave never did jibe with our ideals of youth.
Signed, your jaded friend.

I could live with Jordan as Speaker, but let's not get fooled by him -- he is not the conservative firebrand he's painted out to be.
First, to repeat: he's all hat and no cattle.
What has he done to impeach Biden, subpoena Hunter, rid the country of Mayorkas, and hold accountable countless other villains? As he promised he would do all last year if the GOP won a majority in the House. The GOP win did but he did bupkus.
Secondly, and this isn't widely known but Jordan is actually owned and paid for by Google. Jordan also railed against the tech oligarchs that de-platformed Trump and other conservatives. And their squelching of free speech everywhere. Again he did bupkis.
If Jordan wins note that he's calling for a Continuing Resolution and is looking to stopping the single department and agency budget votes as Matt Gaetz and the 7-8 patriots want and the USA needs.
I just read there's another guy running for Speaker -- Austin Scott from Georgia.
He is another McCarthy back bencher and is from Georgia. There are only 1-2 Georgia republicans worth their salt, and Austin Scott isn't one of them. He has repeatedly spoken out against the patriots in the Freedom Caucus.
I'd rather have Jordan than this clown.
If Jordan doesn't win this vote to be Speaker within the next couple of days, then look for people like Bryan Donalds, Tom Massie, and maybe Nicole Malliotakis as an alternative.
We live in interesting times.

Majority in name only.
8 of them are trans republicans, they identify as democrats.
And when you don't have the senate, impeachment is ridiculous.
But the inquiry is the logical path.
