You guys really gave me a good belly laugh with this one.
The poor Repugs.
They have done their level best to play fair,
never putting Party before Country, and just look at the way the Dims are treating them.
It's ... it's ... it's downright unconscionable!
After leaving a seat on the Supreme Court open for 422 days - yes, a
year and 57 days.
After refusing to even
meet with Obama appointee Merrick Garland for
eight entire months before the November election,
Senate Repugs are
deeply hurt by the uncooperative spirit of the Dims.
"Not an Opposition Party but an enemy."
The Repugs would
never do something like that!
Good Gracious, No!
Let's go back to November 2008.
Here’s John Boehner, Republican House Leader, at the time, offering his plans for Obama’s agenda:
“We're going to do everything — and I mean everything we can do — to kill it, stop it, slow it down, whatever we can.”
And who can forget Senator Mitch McConnell's stirring words?
“The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”
Yet we read a 2018 op-ed in the WSJ like this.
"This is the “resistance.” This is what Democrats have become. Resistance is a word and strategy normally found in a revolutionary context, which is precisely the argument made by the left to justify its actions against this presidency since the evening of Nov. 8, 2016. Anything goes. Whatever it takes. Brett Kavanaugh is not much more than a casualty of war."
Poor Brett!
Tell it to Merrick Garland.
