Tampa 2-09

Race 1 - Claiming
Difficult to be too confident about any of these, but BLESSED AT MASS has performed well the last twice and he is a seven-time winner already. Amberjack, Crackin Jon and Ned Devine are others to note.

BLESSED AT MASS (8)
AMBERJACK (9)

Race 2 - Maiden Claiming
TURKO TREAT made a bright start to her racing career when runner-up over 6 1/2f here and, with normal improvement expected, she rates the one to beat. Willthisshipsail has shown enough in previous starts to suggest that she can go close, while Lady Alidett is worth a market check ahead of her debut.

TURKO TREAT (10)
WILLTHISSHIPSAIL (11)

Race 3 - Claiming
EL MAYITO has been knocking on the door and he could be let back in today. Peas And Carrots returns to a similar level at which he won readily two starts ago and might be worth another chance, while Osvaldo holds each-way claims.

EL MAYITO (9)
PEAS AND CARROTS (11)

Race 4 - Maiden Special Weight
ADVENTURE LAND shaped with tons of promise when a neck second on her debut over 6f here and normal improvement will make her difficult to beat in this event. Cuoco finished third in the aforementioned contest and warrants respect, while Zee Drop is one of a few interesting newcomers.

ADVENTURE LAND (11)
CUOCO (8)

Race 5 - Allowance Optional Claiming
TABIA is a progressive gelding and certainly wasn't stopping over 6f here latest. He might be able to follow up, seeing off other last-start scorer Metallic and Tizk Tizk, who struck the crossbar in a similar track and trip event when last sighted.

TABIA (2)
METALLIC (9)

Race 6 - Allowance
TROPHY DOLL has done little wrong in three starts since joining this stable from Ireland, winning and placed twice, and she looks sure to play a leading role in this contest. There are plenty of others with claims, however, including Umetuka and Miko.

TROPHY DOLL (3)
UMETUKA (12)

Race 7 - Maiden Special Weight
TENCH only tired late on when finishing second on his debut here last month and, with that run under his belt, the three-year-old can be expected to go one better this evening. Others to consider are He Iz Gone and Cobble Hill.

TENCH (1)
Watch out for: HE IZ GONE (14)

Race 8 - Stakes
QURBAAN has already run well in some high-class races despite only having three previous starts since arriving in the US and he makes the most appeal today. That said, Heart To Heart is also very talented and he could give the selection plenty to think about, while Inspector Lynley is the pick of the remainder.

QURBAAN (4)
HEART TO HEART (7)

Race 9 - Stakes
Point Of Honor and Winning Envelope both merit consideration but the nod goes to SWEET DIANE, after her narrow defeat in a stakes race over C&D last time out.

SWEET DIANE (9)
POINT OF HONOR (7)

Race 10 - Stakes
GET EXPLICIT makes plenty of appeal on her Grade 2 second at Churchill Downs in November and shades the vote ahead of Hawksmoor and Rymska, both of whom have viable place claims.

GET EXPLICIT (2)
HAWKSMOOR (6)

Race 11 - Stakes
CAVE RUN is improving between runs and promises to be suited by the step up from 7f. So Alive and and Well Defined are others to bear in mind in an open heat.

CAVE RUN (4)
SO ALIVE (8)

Race 12 - Claiming
ADIOS NARDO arrives on a hat-trick and could take plenty of beating in his current mood. Croce D'Oro and At The Ready are others expected to be thereabouts in the finish.

ADIOS NARDO (1)
CROCE D'ORO (2)
