Super Bowl

Bookmaker has the opening line at Patriots minus 1.5. I bet the Patriots already, not much to analyze, the two most talented teams were the Chiefs and Saints. The Saints got beat by the refs and the Patriots didn't allow a sack against the best pass rushing team in the NFL. As much as I'd like to see the Rams win, my money is on the Patriots this time.

What else an be said about Belichek and Brady. Crazy.

My Red Sox are current world champs means this could be the 2nd time that the Patriots and Red Sox win championships in the same year.

Last time was 2004, Brady's 1st and the Red Sox 1st in 86 years.

Ohhh did we have a Parade in Boston that year. Its still on the Wikipedia list as one of the most attended peaceful events ever to occur in US history. We outdrew the Pope by a million five.

Btw, Brady also beat the Rams that year. Fastest Show on Turf w/ Kurt Warner.

Patriots first won the Super Bowl in 2001,defeating the Rams.In 2004, they beat the Panthers. However in both games, they won on a last second field goal by Adam Veniteri, so I understand the confusion.

Anybody notice the attention Tony Romo's getting this morning for his play-calling predictions yesterday? He'll be in the booth for the Super Bowl.

Romo is great, IMO. He is able to bring his knowledge of playing QB into the booth and incorporates it into his commentary without the usual ex-jock commentators MO of "when I played...." or "the way we'd do it......".

IMHO he's gone straight to the top of the color guys hierarchy.

Brady now has two full weeks to get his balls soft.
He won't be beat.

I agree with your reasoning.

Lines generally don't move too much on these games.
However, I believe we might see Pats as high as -3.
Hard to see Rams bettors interested in much less.

I agree, Romo is very smart and really gives a tremendous insight to the game. He shows you exactly how a top quarterback thinks.

Romero is a chore to suffer through for me.
The guy never shuts up.

I want to watch the real QB in the game, not a wanna-be who isn't even in it anymore.

If I hear "Gotta go to Gronk!" one more time, especially after big gain by Edelman.

I sparingly bet sports --preferring to lose my money at the racetrack, of course-- but I believe the Patriots, at any price, are a mortal lock to win.

All the Rams showed me last week was that they just are too soft and can't tackle and their secondary has no idea how to play pass defense.

The bad, lucky call for the Rams is a case in point. It looked to me that the ball was an easy interception, yet the DB wasn't looking and played the man (poorly) and not the ball.

Go, Pats, go!

I’m waiting too. Just for the value and insurance. I think the Rams win out right. Now that they are full strength they are the best team . Their defense has shut two running games down to 50 yards each playoff game and the Patriots have been running. They can win either way this game goes, grinding it out or in a track meet. Some one said they were soft, that’s a joke , they are physically beating people up. Kansas City last week, that was soft defense. People look at the flash of KC but neither of their lines come close to the veterans the Rams have on their offensive and defensive lines. They get burned on pass defense at times, but these days they all do. If they make a few stops, they win this game. Soft? Dallas had to limp home after getting their teeth kicked in.
