the segments 1 and 4 perform so poorly I was looking for a way to take advantage of that.
I'll look at two other horses with the next highest column value for win and exacta plays.. OfCourse the 1st race I down loaded was GP race 1. it had the winner # 8 for a $1 track win return of $12.60 and the 8/6 exacta for a $1 track exacta return of $55.70

I'll check all of today's plays before I add this play to mt data base

I BROKE OUT THE EXACTA SEGMENTS 1.1 AND 3 WHICH IN 111 RACES, COMBINED TO RETURN $0.97 ON THE DOLLAR

ADDITIONALLY, THE WIN BET SEGMENTS 1.1 AND 3 COMBINED TO RETURN A FLAT BET WIN PROFIT OF $ 0.97, WINNING 25 OF 111 RACES.

additionally,
that reverse exacta play on segments 1.1 and 3 returned $1.09 on the dollar.in 111 races

there were 3 wins in 16 plays. $1 flat win bet returned $0.84, while the $1 exacta returned $0.90 on the dollar. still worth watching since the 1 and 4 segments won more that their usual share today.

ONLY 15 OF OVER 100 EXCEL COLUMNS ARE SHOWN. THE(meat and potatoes)

28 RACES WERE REVIEWED. THE RESULTS FOR THE "YEA" PLAYS WERE;
9 PLAYABLE RACES ONLY 1 STRAIGHT EXACTA BET(COLUMN) WON, BUT DUE TO THE BET SIZE STRUCTURE, IT CREATED A POSITIVE RETURN OF $1.28 ON THE DOLLAR.

THE REVERSE (ROW) EXACTA BET WON TWICE AND RETURNED $1.37 ON THE DOLLAR.

yea result through day 11, 282 races reviewed, more than halfway to my next 500 races.
102 yea races produced a straight exacta $1 return of $1.07 and a reverse exacta return of $0.95

total play was 1.11 units for each straight and reverse exacta.
the straight returned $0.51, while the reverse returned $0.48

Is there any chance (even in the distant past) that you setup an automatic backup routine on the machine you are using for this project?

I have some good backup, the problem was more that there were races where I apparently changed something without realizing it. So I'm starting anew, this time adding some new structure that has been interesting me for some time. I'll post it in a new thread.

This is where I'm at now.
most of the functions are the same as the previous 700 or so races.
there are 6 "Play Structures" with their attending "Segments" and "Play" designations.
I have reviewed 8 "Play Structures", these 6 Seem to work out the best.
there are two win plays on the favorite. three win plays on the 2nd choice, 1 place play on the 2nd choice. these are all exacta plays.

Its not cherry picking until it isn't
