Breaking News: Walter Case Jr. issued "P" license in Maine
Per Facebook and confirmed by his wife, Luanne, Maine commission reversed course on their previous denial, issuing Case a provisional license effective immediately. Expect Case to resume his career next weekend. Hopefully this will set him on a clear path to earn licenses elsewhere in short order.
"A clarification on Walter Case, Jr. He has not been licensed yet in Maine. His license application was originally refused and he appealed. He won his appeal today. Per the commission, he must reapply for his license and the commission has to sign off on it, which won't happen until the next commission hearing, which I'm told won't be until December. Don't expect to see him on the track until next year, unless the process gets "fast-tracked" which is unlikely to happen."
I can only imagine that this is merely a formality at this point, or else why would they have upheld his appeal?
Update from Luanne Case: “The only reason it is not official is he has to submit his eye test. The attorney will hand deliver that Monday morning. He DOES NOT HAVE TO REAPPLY.”
