There's a circle of hell that Dante never talked about, and that's having to drive around Toronto on a weekend.
Curtis McElhinney is 5-0 in his career against Edmonton, he’ll make his 1st start tonight since November 25th.
Looks like the Oilers would prefer to double-start Laurent Brossoit in back to back games, what could possibly go wrong?
Asked about possible lineup changes, Babcock says a couple guys dealing with bumps and bruises including Matthews ... a decision will be made closer to game time. Ruh Roh!
The Leafs are a damn good team, so good in fact, that they can convince opposing d-men to score for them. Welcome to Toronto Kris Russell!
And of course there's Pool Party.....

Getting worried about Matthews. That hit late in the game. Ouch. He looked like he was in discomfort leaving the ice. And yet Babcock played him again and again with the Pens pressing. That surprised me. Show's lots of trust. Matthews hasn't been right for quite awhile now. The Leafs played well when he was out of the lineup and have played pretty well in his return even though he isn't 100%. I'd rest him. The greater good.

Ya, he’s not right, there’s something seriously wrong with him that’s hampering his play. If I were to guess, it’s either a groin or a back problem.
No worries though, we have balanced scoring.
The Marlies have been absolutely crushing it, 20-5-0 after this weekend, outstanding .800 hockey. Shanny has done an incredible job of righting the ship.

The game tonight. Leafs win 1-0. Beating Crosby and McDavid on back to back nights. McDavid was the best player on the ice. He set up a lot of guys who missed the net tonight. If they didn't miss the net the puck somehow hit C. Mac who reminded of Reimer tonight. Flopping everywhere, having the puck hit you and then have no idea where the rebound went. That was a pretty strange shutout tonight. I'll take it. GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's no wonder they can't win any games, they're eating that garbage after a game.

Islanders Belmont plans unveiled including hotel, retail and community center.
The Islanders’ proposal includes an 18,000-seat, year-round arena that would host 150 events annually, as well as 435,000 square feet of space for retail, a hotel with 200 to 250 rooms, and a 10,000 square-foot “innovation center” that would be developed with input from residents.
NYCFC, a professional soccer team partially owned by the Yankees, is calling for a 26,000-seat open-air stadium in addition to 400,000 square-feet of space for retail, a 5.2-acre community park and a 2-acre soccer facility.

That game hurt more than the one where we scored on our own net.
If the Oilers fall 2 points short of a playoff berth, those two games against the Leafs will be even more hurtful to think about.
McDavid has had two bouts of flu virus to contend with through November.
He lost over 12 lbs in weight, yet even while sick he was a force for Edmonton.
Clearly he was back in health last night.
When he's well, he's the most exciting player on the planet.

Kappy’s Back!
The Maple Leafs have recalled winger Kasperi Kapanen on Tuesday ahead of the game against Filthy-Delphia, as well the team announced forward Nikita Soshnikov has been placed on injured reserve.
Centre Auston Matthews was not on ice for the team's morning skate on Tuesday.
Toronto is the NHL's highest-scoring team at 5v5 (73 GF) while the Flyers have allowed the NHL's fewest goals at 5v5 (43 GA).
