The Seventh Race

Smelled that all the way from Sagamore farm.
Thought his ride was too patient and the 4 might win or the 5, but he timed it for the last move on the outside flow.

Got 'ALL' so I'd prefer the DOES NOT win here, maybe do something creative but I hate hedging with the favorite. Was a mistake not to do some $s on the as a single...

But to be honest = I don't know the 'story' behind the MO WHEELS UP...
Is Scott Dilworth a regular client who has a homebred and the public is obsessed by Joe Sharp??

Or is this some freakish filly and Scott Dilworth seeked out Joe Sharp on a special basis??

If it's the former, I'll sit on my hands. Rest on my laurels. In a meet like Saratoga, a bunch of these were bought at auctions; be it for their sprint speed or for their pedigree. Homebreds have to be really precocious or else I believe the general default idea is to give some edge to the auction purchases, especially recent purchases or those taking money on the tote.

that's my 'train-of-thought' going into RACE 7

edit PARADE observations/ - The is skinny. Based on her build and her works, she may flash some serious early pace here.... The is strong, the is very 'green' and ice-cold on the tote, but she looks athletic... In general the field has a lot of promising looking 2yo fillies

had a dramatic knock-off stride there

I think the stewards will take down the price

you never with them, so I'm guessing along with the dramatic visual , rather than who would have won had contact not occurred for this guess

So I get back $1,802.25 for the $9 on the Pick-3

puts me ahead for good, with some tickets still live (W$1246, R$2017.12)

Yea. -they took down the 1

Personally, I would say 5-1-4 , as the 1 seemed to prove best of the 4, but you have to give the 5 the benefit of the doubt, even though you could flip a coin between whether the 1 or the 5 would have won there. Placed the all the way to third due to the dramatic visual.

p3 really wasn't a huge difference in spite of the big difference in win odds between and . The leverage-point was whether the MO WHEELS UP was out of the ticket or not.

live tickets;

So, I got a $6 pick-3 live to the FAVORABLE OUTCOME

kind of took a flyer here because the race looked like it was written for Brown/Klaravich, even though it came up tough. is a threat to wire, but otherwise I think I have a fair chance.

Not going to hedge or leverage, and I'll treat this race as a bonus win if it does come in...

Petrov finally paid his "uber-patient" fans LOL

When he first showed up at Oaklawn, I think I've lost more money on that one than I could ever get back.
