If you look at the daily cases in the lower right hand corner, the last 2 days have spiked at 16K & 11K. I assume most of those are now from Europe.
I hope that we have shut down every non-essential gathering quick enough to prevent that here in the States.
Click on the circle with the cross in it in the upper right hand corner of that Daily Cases box to make it go full screen.

What do you mean by prolonged?
A few days?
A few weeks?
A few months?
How much heat?
I realize these are tough questions you may not have the answer to, but from what I read heat wasn't necessarily going to be beneficial for slowing down corona virus. That was just a hope. If it is, that's a least some good news for the US as we are approaching the end of the typical flu season. Maybe they will behave similarly.

I just want to add one more thought on this. There's no question that some good and some bad decisions were made in the handling of this, but if the media and politicians can't set politics aside for a few months while we try to deal with something we are all in together I'm going to close faith in humanity.

Actually, I have had a cold the last few days, I'm still commuting into NYC for work on mass transportation, I'm probably exposed to IT. Who knows. I would like to get a test for the Corona.
