As for prison terms, it depends on whether they plead guilty.

Cruelty to animals is now a federal crime under a new law signed by President Trump on Monday, Nov.25th, 2019.
The penalty for violating the law can include a fine, a prison term of up to seven years or both.
Any coincidence that the arrests took place after bill was signed into law and make it a felony.

That's orthogonal to these cases though. They were charged with established crimes like misbranding pharmaceuticals.
What matters is the guidelines sentence, not the statutory maximum.

The comments there are almost universally calling for the end of horse racing. It's pretty depressing.

Actually, I was referring to the HRN comments. I couldn't access the actual WaPo editorial because of the paywall. I'm not at all surprised the comments are negative there.

SERVIS-Navarro
watched some interesting "oldies"( about 3 years old on these 2 bums.
There is reference to an incident that happened between Navarro and an owner ,I believe in the Belmont Paddock ;uncertain if this was yelling or possibly a pushing or real fight.
anyone familiar with this incident?

There was a few incidents at MP where someone yelled at Navarro that he was a cheater after the infamous vegetable juice man video surfaced in August of 2017 I guess those yelling at Navarro were right!

Fair or not, you can't help but wonder. I'd already seen a few surprise performances from the third Servis, Tyler.
