A half way decent card but not enough playable races for Dutching purposes. My Dutch Win bets produced a loss of 25% as a result of hitting only 2 of 5 playable races. However there were quite a few decent Verticals as the (5) Quinellas and (4) Triples that produced some excellent results.

Race 4 Yichun Blitz () First time starter that was bet down as the second betting choice at 9-2 against the last race easy winner Multimillion, and when the gates opened he stood straight up on his hind legs costing him at least a couple lengths which is the death nail in these straight 1000 metre races. Made a nice move but flattened out in the last 100 metres, should improve off that out, picks up the leading rider Purton for today’s race.

Race 11 Waikuku (2-1) In his first start in Hong Kong after breaking his maiden in his homeland of Ireland was bet down to the 8-5 favourite for the John Size barn. He broke well out of the 8 post and was settled in the third flight heading into the turn three wide without any cover, moved to the lead at the 250 metre mark without being asked by Moreira. He fought all the way to the wire without the rider getting to his bottom only to be beaten on a head bob to Victory Machine for John Moore who now has 3 wins out of 4 tries in this racing season.
