I just came back from a resort in Mexico. On two separate occasions the table next to me were discussing politics, both discussions on extreme opposite ends of the spectrum. Did I get up and throw punches? Get into a screaming match with someone I disagreed with? No. I kept to myself and think, this is the correct way to react as a community member. It's not starting witch hunts on the opposite party, it's not shunning people you disagree with, it's not letting this stuff run your life.

It's caring for your loved ones and your neighbors. It's respect. It's love. It's understanding disagreeing beliefs. Yada yada.

I know you're a man of scripture boxcar, Isn't that the bigger message from Jesus and the bible rather than homosexuality being a sin etc etc....

May I ask where?

This, too, must wait until tomorrow. Yes, the "bigger message" of the gospel of Christ is love but neither the crooked politicians or very many of those who engage in sexual lifestyles forbidden in scripture want anything to do with love as it is defined in scripture. The world's idea of love and those of scripture are only at variance with each other as far as the east is from the west.
