A warrior. I wonder how it would benifit the country if all congress persons had to first be in the military for a few years. A band of brothers, learn how to work together.

It would be a very select group, as less than 8% of US population ever serving in the military.

I could live with a Jim Jordan but he's proven to me to be an "all hat and no cattle" kind of conservative.

Every night in 2021-22 he said if the GOP would get the majority in the House he'd make sure he'd impeach and subpoena Fauci, Hunter, etc., since he'll be the head of the Judiciary Committee. He also said Kevin McCarthy lied countless times to the Freedom Caucus and changes needed to be made in Leadership.

Jordan had a compromising situation when he was a Big 10 wrestling champion. I think Jordan cut a devil's bargain with Kevin McCarthy who helped him avoid a possible and untenable media situation. Jordan also faced a redistricting problem brought forward by the GOP governor and the GOP majority Ohio state legislature.

McCarthy saved Jordan on a few fronts and that is why Jordan supported McCarthy for Speaker in January and why Jordan did not remove the security clearance of those 51 traitors who said the Hunter laptop was due to Russia, Russia, Russia. Jordan also did not impeach Mayorkis nor did he not subpeona Biden and Fauci as he promised.

Despite his faults he still will be a better Speaker than McCarthy. He's not my top pick.

Steve Scalise is another who will be better than McCarthy but has some issues as well. Most seriously, he fighting cancer and the next two years will be the most serious in our history. I wish him well and could live with him as Speaker as well. And I will never question his toughness. Scalise is a warrior.

Too many Republicans just might get a mention in the media that I do not want under any circumstances.

All are no dice for me: Tom Emmer, Chip Roy, Dan Crenshaw and Nancy Mace. There are a few others but enough already for one night.

Add anyone endorsed or promoted by Newt Gingrich, Hugh Hewitt, Mark Levin and Fox News should be dismissed out of hand.

My top personal pick is Lee Zeldin from New York. Unlikely but the status quo must end.

You don't know about "Gym Jordan?"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_S..._abuse_scandal

Quote:
The Ohio State University abuse scandal centered on allegations of sexual abuse that occurred between 1978 and 1998, while Richard Strauss was employed as a physician by the Ohio State University (OSU) in the Athletics Department and in the Student Health Center. An independent investigation into the allegations was announced in April 2018 and conducted by the law firm Perkins Coie.

In July 2018, several former wrestlers accused former head coach Russ Hellickson and U.S. representative Jim Jordan, who was an assistant coach at OSU between 1987 and 1994, of knowing about Strauss' alleged abuse but failing to take action to stop it. Jordan has denied that he had any student-athlete report sexual abuse to him.

The report, released in May 2019, concluded that Strauss abused at least 177 male student-patients and that OSU was aware of the abuse as early as 1979, but the abuse was not widely known outside of Athletics or Student Health until 1996, when he was suspended from his duties. Strauss continued to abuse OSU students at an off-campus clinic until his retirement from the university in 1998. OSU was faulted in the report for failing to report Strauss's conduct to law enforcement.

In May 2020, the university entered into a settlement and agreed to pay $40.9 million to the sexual abuse survivors.

They interviewed almost every kid from the time Jordan was there and could not find one who told Jordan anything.

They tried to turn it into a Joe Paterno situation and it didn’t fly
