The last I checked it was raining “cats and dogs” in the New York City area. I’m handicapping based on a sloppy track.
I’ve dispensed with handicapping the first three races. I’m concentrating on races 4 through 9, the Empire-6 races.
Race Four, the first leg of The Empire, is scheduled to be run at 2:00 p.m. EDT. That race, the Chelsey Flower Stakes, is slated for the turf. I’m handicapping with the belief (I have no way of knowing at this juncture) that it will be taken off the turf and run on the main at One Mile. In all cases, I’m posting my usual “Top Four” numbers. In some cases, I’m adding a number or two. I wish everyone: “Good Luck!”
