Fleetwood Mac: Great, Iconic, or Elite?
They made a lot of great music, but could have made so much more.
The voices. The talent. The song writing.
They still leave me with wanting more, even when they get back together way too late.
The passion of "Go Your Own Way" is pure greatness.

Great....their infighting probably keep them from a Led Zeppelin/Beatles kind of rarefied air.

I'm assuming this is about the second version of the Mac.Because the Peter Green-Danny Kirwan-Jeremy Spencer versión of the 60's and early 70's has,for the most part, a completely different sound. They may as well be two different groups.
Like this for example.Love Green's vocals on this one.

Very good point, I was going to post something along these lines. The original FM was more of a blues band, they were very good but don't really have much in common with the more popish later FM. Green and Kirwan were big talents. There was even an interim FM with Bob Welch, here's his solo biggie:

Speaking of Mic Fleetwood I just picked up an album he was on by John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers.
